Superb Pair of French Directoire Painted Upholstered Bergere Chairs Circa 1940

This is a superb pair of Directoire style bergere chairs with beautiful upholstery and styling. The chairs are in a creme painted finish with subtle gilded highlights and gorgeous upholstery. The chairs measure 32 deep x 27 wide x 36 tall and have a seat height of 19 inches. They date to the 1940-50s era.
